Nobel Peace Prize?

I find it strangely amusing that Obama just won the Nobel Peace Prize. First of all, he himself admits that he doesn't think he did anything to warrant the award, second of all, the Nobel Peace Price isn't worth anything anymore. I don't know about you, but I in no way believe that Obama is on the same level as Mother Teresa, I mean, give me a break. Obama has done absolutely nothing to deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. What a great PR stunt, Mr. President. You never cease to surprise me.

America's Priorities Shine Through

In light of the death of Michael Jackson, I would like to ask for a moment of Silence for the Fallen. During the huge media overhaul we've seen recently about Michael Jackson, it has become extremely obvious and telling of our priorities as Americans. Since the War on Terror began many years ago, thousands of U.S. soldiers have died, several of them coming in the days of the constant Michael Jackson began. This doesn't come as news to the families of the fallen soldiers, as they have taken a back seat to our celebrities since the beginning, though the recent Michael Jackson craze does pour salt into the wounds. So, I am taking a moment to myself right now to thank all of the soldiers that continue to fight and die for our country, and never receive the respect, honor, or even the acknowledgement that they deserve. Although all of these celebrities do entertain us daily, I ask everyone what they have done to make our country safe? What have they sacrificed for our freedom? Though I pay my respects to those who have passed on, I believe it is those who have sacrificed their lives for all of us that deserve such monumental events. Those who have changed and saved lives deserve the honor, not the crazy celebrities that are revered as demigods everyday. Remember our troops today and everyday.

Overstimulated?

So, considering how well the stimulus bill HASN'T worked, the President is considering another one! This is facing strong republican opposition, which is well deserved. I just don't understand why something that has yet to work whatsoever would even be considered again. Genius, wouldn't you agree?
In case you haven't heard, Sarah Palin is stepping down as Alaska Governor at the end of the month. As shocking as this is, it seems to be as a result of the muck that our government has become. This isn't making her political career look very hopeful, but at least someone that I believe to be very credible, is speaking up.
Something else very interesting involving our government, has come to my attention. Preloaded cash cards that I'm sure we're all aware of, and have even purchased, are now being tampered with. Until recently, these cards haven't carried an expiration date. Well, you may be surprised when you go to use one that you've been holding onto for a while, and it doesn't work! This is because our fine government has decided to place an expiration date on some of these cards. Once this expiration date has passed, the remaining balance is handed over to the government, who has proven so be oh-so-responsible with our money lately. Though I need to research this a bit further, it is shocking nonetheless.
I apologize for the run-on sentences in this post, but I blame it on the blasphemies of this administration making me eager to spread the word. Hopefully I've avoided spelling errors in the meantime!

Health Insurance Required??

It's come to my attention that there is something included in the recently-passed senate health bill. Those americans out there, myself included, who cannot afford insurance whatsoever, are now about to be punished for not buying health insurance. If you don't buy insurance, you are going to be fined at least $1,000. It is going to become a requirement, similar to having auto insurance. The idea of the penalties is to raise money for the government. Something smells a little fishy here, and I am outraged! Thank you, President, for making one family's hardship an even bigger one.

Everyone clap for Obama!

Guess what...Obama can kill a fly with his bare hands! I guess this is a pretty cool thing these days, as everyone is celebrating Obama's ability to kill a fly during a television interview. Also, Obama is extremely disappointed that Fox News doesn't like him! Wow, one news channel out of many doesn't like him, and this is hard for him to swallow, that he has no control over one network. He's already got ABC, NBC, MSNBC, etc. in his back pocket, but he just can't sleep at night while the Fox network doesn't support him.
